My Commitment to Health: A Daily Journal

Today I am committing to be healthier and take better care of myself. In order to do that, I am documenting my sleep, water intake, exercise and daily diet. These four items are probably the most crucial aspects of healthy living. It is not always easy, but I’m determined to live healthier than I have been

Day 1 (Aug 4) of my health journal. Last night I got 7 hours of sleep. And I drank 80 oz of water so far. I managed to do a short yoga sequence and meditate for about 20 minutes. Lunch was ok, I had a taco salad, with ground beef and cheese. But at least I skipped the chips. Yeah for the small wins. Tonight, we are having chicken and veggies. Diet could be better, but everything else was good. I’d give myself a score of 6/10 for today.

Day 6 (Aug 9). I meant to add to this every day, but as you can see, I skipped a few. My health journey has not been stellar these past few days. I’ve given in to not sleeping enough, not eating nutritious food and not drinking enough water. As a result, I’m tired and grumpy. Hoping to get back on track today and do better in the future.

Aug 17, This week has not been good. I’ve been eating a lot of fast processed foods. Not drinking enough water. And overall, not been as active as I would like. Time to hop back on the band wagon. Today I am drinking the water, eating healthy, and staying away from screens. (Well mostly away).
