I’ve recently been having many encounters with hawks, especially red-tailed hawks. Hawks have many meanings and interpretations. The red-tailed hawk specifically is associated with Kundalini energy and incoming messages. It’s interesting that I should be seeing this bird at this time. I have also been hearing a lot about Kundalini awakenings on the podcasts I’ve been listening to.
This link to the Kundalini is said to occur mostly in the root chakra at the base of the spine. I’ve recently received the message that my energies are out of whack and need to be realigned. Maybe this is the purpose of the hawk at this point in my life. I felt an electric current run through me when I read about the red-tailed’s role in this way. I can only describe it as a type of knowing. I feel I should be studying this life force, how it works, and its role in my life.
Red-tail hawks are powerful birds. known for their fearlessness. They will attack and kill prey that is deadly to other animals, including venomous snakes. But they are also often harassed by other birds. This dichotomy is something I’ve often felt in my own life. This is a great balancing act. To know when to push through and attack at all costs. And when to fall back and allow others to lead the way.
These birds have a strong spiritual connection. Their flying and soaring patterns can be read and interpreted. Their feathers are often used in spiritual practices. They are the mediator between the physical and spiritual world.
There is so much to learn about these graceful creatures. And I feel, I’m only scratching the surface. I could probably spend a lifetime studying them and still not know half of their secrets. I would love to hear your thoughts and experiences with this animal.
